Apparently it's been getting A LOT of positive reviews.
Then I think Die Hard 4 put up a great fight with its number. I'm going to watch the first 3 movies, and then go see that this week.

They're probably relating Evan Almighty to the original Bruce Almighty which debuted with more than what Evan Almighty has grossed in 1 week. Which is saying a lot, but all of the sequels this year have underperformed, such as Spider-Man, Shrek, Pirates, Fantasic 4, Ocean's, & Evan Almighty.

Well, I'm just glad that Transformers is getting all the hype. It's impossible for the movie to get an opening over 100million because it shall be released on Tuesday, with midnight screenings on Monday. It should wind up in the 50 to 65 million range, and it should still become one of the highest grossing films of the year.

Well if this helps, Transformers was the #1 movie on Monday for it's midnight screenings with 8 million dollars.
