I think applies only to Taylor & BSB. Other million+ openers were released in this time period, at least a majority of them. (50 Cent, Wayne, Britney, Usher, NSYNC, Eminem, Norah).
I don't see why there's an argument. GaGa's dropping due to the Amazon thing, we all expected it. Let the people who want glamorize that do so, and let others simply comment on it as it is the biggest drop for such a large debut. No need to keep giving it attention, if you know your defenses already..

Em's 4th week will probably be higher than her 2nd week maybe 5th even
her 1.1 mill isnt really vaild cuz of the .99 deal
the 2nd week shows that
|
You can't say it isn't valid. It is as valid as all the other 1M debuts. She sold 1M copies. They were all declared legal by Billboard. That is valid.

Ok i think we all can agree that her 1st week sales would have been a little lower without that 0.99 discount but still her album is doing well and we gotta wait and see if it can match the longevity of The Fame (Monster) and even if not... BTW will end up selling at least 2 Million in the US which is a great number for ANYONE!

I better not see other fanbases ridicule this drop though, for hopefully obvious reasons.

Labels have been too stuck up on first week numbers. Adele might reclaim the #1 spot next week if GaGa takes another tumble. The buzz around BTW is drying up.

This rationale only makes sense if they weren't planning to promote it anymore, which is definitely not the case.

Too bad your logic will make no sense to anyone but yourself, dear.
You need to calm it down with the GaGa shade.

I think predictions tomorrow will determine how the album will play out over the next few weeks. I'm shocked Billboard/HITS were so off. They said 200k at beginning of the week, then 180-195k, now 170k.
I'm going to predict 85k-100k for tomorrow's prediction.
