Not to mention that Taylor wrote a better album; the only reason Grimes' album is more acclaimed is because she isn't as popular, so she doesn't get unnecessary flak for her image, publicity, or general presence in the mainstream realm.
Being indie helps a lot when it comes to critics' opinions. Sensible publications like Rolling Stone
did rate Speak Now higher than Art Angels, anyway.
