Yeah and it's risky. It's trying to balance artistic credence with commercial viability. However, I think the bosses over Syco surmise that it's too early to break the wave. But if they intend to be taken seriously now as musicians rather than as idols, rhey need to hurry up and strike while the iron is still hot. They just cant wait and let the madness subside and go out with new materials different from their current repertoire bexause it is too risky. if they allow some considerable time in between, it could be massive hit or a disaster because let's admit it, 70% of 1directioners are buying their music not exactly for what it's meant.

TMH was definitely the "if it's not broken, don't fix it" album. I don't know if Syco are going to risk another era of the same just to see if it still sticks. All their growing up is going to be within the next three years, though, because they signed the "3 albums in 36 months" deal. So we don't have to worry about them taking "considerable time" because they're going to be on shelves every holiday season.
Who knows, maybe this next album will be a bit of a hybrid. A lot of the same and then a lot of "different" within the album tracks in an attempt to see what the fanbase and public react to? Guess we'll find out in November/December.

Whatever, they need to do some choreo at least on tour or people will be sick of watching them walking/jumping around all the time.

They've never hid away from the fact they're not dancers, though.
As in, they've always said they can't dance and are comfortable just being themselves on stage and in music videos.
