Their second single ever and their first club smash comes from Homework. It's surely one of the most recognizable Daft Punk songs out there having one of their production and also me asking how the 3 words making the title repeated over and over for 7 minutes can sound so good. After all, I'm pretty happy with this position for it. Curiosity: have.i.been tried to sample this for a song but DP didn't let him put it out cause it was, surprisingly, bad.
Their real () first single is out taking the album away with it. This was my ideal winner alongside another song that is still in and I'm kinda angered at the fact that it didn't even managed to get a Top 5 spot. That seriously great bassline and keyboard hooks make this one of the best song ever produced and without the need of any lyrics. It seems the watermark for all the electropop craze to come more than a decade later, just to show you how ahead of its time it was!
I just gotta say that the perfect mixing of the guitars with the electro instrumental made me discover that God is real and took me to Church and back when I first listened to Discovery's 2nd single. Here their funky side started to peak out too, you can hear it in the groove. A masterpiece.
That's all for tonight, tomorrow is the final day and the Top 4 will be revealed. This is what's left in alphabetical order:
Digital Love (from "Discovery")
Get Lucky (from "Random Access Memories")
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (from "Discovery")
One More Time (from "Discovery")
