I think I'm most excited for Ship To Wreck, but I'm also really curious for Mother, HBHBHB, St Jude, Delilah, and Third Eye. Basically, the entire album. The album titles for Ceremonials weren't as unique and interesting, so I wasn't as hyped for them as I am for these ones. She really came up with a bunch of different titles. Hopefully that uniqueness is matched in the lyrics and sound

Still upset about What Kind of Man
Like obviously it's not bad but it's just kinda there, not some Shake It Out or even Dogs Days level slayage... Kinda basic but maybe it's the most radio friendly track so she put it out first for that reason

I get that it's not as epic sounding as dog days are shake it out, but in no way is it BASIC. By her standards? Maaaaaaaybe, but this would be some artistic statements for most popstars. But it's an evolution, the lyrics are great, it's unique, she sounds amazing, and the production is pretty excellent. I'm very happy with if, and I do think this will probably be the most GP friendly song, except for the one with ester dean probably

I love What Kind of Man.
It's more rock than I remember her being. Reminds me of "Kiss With A Fist." It's absolutely divine.
But honestly, the sound of the HBHBHB snippet really excited me. A perfect blend of electronica, the horns, and Florence's sound. I hope more songs are going to go that route.

I for one, absolutely adore WKOM. The intro, the rock n' roll production, the vocals.
I do NOT like the album cover though. Hopefully, It's just a placeholder and we get to see the real artwork sometime soon. Kind of doubt it, though.

Nah I am 100% positive that's the final album cover. I was definitely sad at first, I wish more effort was into it, but I accept it now. It's not that bad, it really is reminiscent of a lot of older covers. If the album is about reality and a real life, living life in the real world like she says it is, then the cover makes more sense than her dressing up wild and artistic like she did with Ceremonials. It seems less about being poetic and metaphoric and more about being honest and genuine with her life and feelings.
As for WKOM, I love how rock it is. The genre shift is AWESOME, she's really never done anything like that. My father heard the song and said "I didn't know she did rock music." Rock has always been kind of a sub genre of hers, but except for 1-2 times, she's really never gone "rock." WKOM is very much alternative rock. I love it. Hope there are some more aggressive, angry-ish songs like that's. It's been a while since she's done hat

Eh, I'll get used to it, I suppose. Her past two album covers were magnificent though.
Why does it only say Florence though? What about the Machine?
As for the record itself, I love this inclement side she's exposed with WKOF and I cannot wait to see more of it, It'll be glorious.

While WKOM is not my favorite Florence song, I think it is still an objectively good song. My guess is that How Big (et al) will be more cohesive than Lungs but less monochromatic than Ceremonials. And I don't mind Flo going in a new direction. Having listened to her stuff with Ashok, Florrible and Misrabella, her endless collection of covers, one thing I like about Florence is her truly catholic appreciation of music and her willingness to sing just about anything if it makes her feel.

WKOM goes at the top with some of my favourite Florence material. Im still surprised by the guitar riffs everytime they drop, such an immense track that I was not expecting her to release of all people.

I miss the satanic glamour of Ceremonials. Not feeling this cover, she looks like a male junkie rockstar from the 70s.

Artwork to follow
Box set image not final
Screenprint art is not final
I'm posting these here because I'm tired of explaining to you and others why there is really no reason to think that this is the final artwork. You don't have to be 100% in thinking that is a placeholder (even though that is where I am), but there is no way you should be completely positive that that image is the cover. There are 3 separate locations here that say something about the image not being final. The screen print is also definitely going to be a blown up version of the cover art, so what evidence is making you 100% certain (other than the fact that it is there...kind of a prerequisite of being a placeholder) that it is the final image?

Omg I AM going to bookmark you. That "artwork not final" is about the screenplay book thing, NOT the cd. The artwork for the cd is final, why on earth would you think they'd release all of this without a final cover?! Lol it is FINAL

Artists do it literally all the time. Just off the top of my head (and there are many more instances of this throughout even just the past 5 years), ARTPOP, Prism, Kelly Clarkson's new album, Betty Who's album, Tinashe's album all had placeholders (and those last three had placeholders when they were put up like 1 or 2 months before release, this one has 4 months until release).
The artwork is not final means the image on the box set and for the screenprint (which based on dimensions (12x12 aka a square) and typical screenprints will be a print of the album cover). Also a screenprint is just a poster or like a hq photo, not a book.
It is definitely NOT FINAL.

It's definitely final. The "Artwork to follow" is for the artwork of the screen print, the "Box set image not final" means that that is not how the box will look for sure.
