She does dance. She lacks energy sometimes, I admit, but watch any Femme Fatale tour video and her choreography still ***** on everyone out right now except maybe Gaga (but they have two different dancing styles). And what does dancing have to do with being an artist? Can Katy Perry dance? NO. Can Adele dance? NO. Dancing is a PLUS because Britney is an entertainer.
If Shadow is the last song you heard without excessive autotune, you either went deaf or you haven't listened to any album since In The Zone or you have missed every leak that has happened in the past 6 or 7 years.
Britney does sing. Yes, she has horrible live performances but she also has good ones, like everyone else. And if anything, her ass could belt out some notes when she was little. So don't say she could NEVER sing.
She doesn't write? Ignorance. Someday, Everytime, My Baby, etc.
She directed Do Somethin and was set to direct Radar.
If all the stuff you "listed" doesn't make someone an artist, then no pop star out right now is an artist because PLEASE direct me to the one that produces their own songs, writes without co-writers, dances, sings well and directs their own videos ALL THE TIME and I will sit here and wait.

LMAO she does not dance anymore, that's it. I don't know why her team insists on hyping her fanbase with coreos and stuff when she obviously cannot/does not want to anymore. She just jumps, walks around the stage and moves her hands . She lacks energy? So you admit she doesn't do her best? Are your standards that low?. Katy, Adele and others don't dance, but they don't try to seem like they can. Do I have to remember you all the hype about the dance her team built for the TTWE music video?
On the singing thing.. dude, she doesn't sing live since 2003. I invite you to do a research about those "good performances" and warn you that you'll end up dissapointed, because all of them use back-up vocals and pre-recorded stuff. There's a reason why she hasn't sang live since 2003 (almost a decade ago, btw).
And I actually own every Britney CD physically. Except for Femme Fatale, but I have heard it, many many times. She uses excessive auto-tune. Even in My Baby and Out from Under which are suppossed to be somehow ballads or acoustic songs, there's plenty of auto-tune use.

Pressed of what? I adore her, I'm just not blind and I'm not here to make up excuses for everything she does wrong. Try to clock, if you care enough.

Xtina. Is it even a question? Like most of Britney's albums, Femme Fatale was incredibly cookie cutter.

No, they haven't. But anyways, if thinking Britney is the new Mozzart of our era, that's.. fine!

The only choreo that was HYPED was HIAM and that was hyped by Brian and those dumb teasers and on tour, I actually enjoy the choreography very much. But while we are discussing choreo, TTWE's was cute as well. And yes I admit she doesn't do her best sometimes, I'm not delusional, but we have seen plenty of performances and rehearsal videos where she DOES do her best, so if you choose to focus on the negative, that's on you. The fact is: Britney can still dance.
I'm not gonna argue about the live performances thing, because I think that's just personal taste. For example, when everyone went nuts about You Oughta Know, I thought she sounded great but some thought she sounded awful. I would, however, like you to stop exaggerating and saying she hasn't sang live since 2003.
You also need to learn the difference between autotune and melodyne.
And that's all I have to say. We agree to disagree.

Does she sing? I haven't seen any song of hers without excessive auto-tune since Shadow (2003).
Did she ever sing? In the studio, with some proper help, she could. Live? Never, her vocal performances have always been atroscious. And please don't tell me she used to be a good singer, because she never was. Now, in her defense, I think this is because of the excesive use of nasal voice (this strongly harms a voice), fault of her producers tbh.
Does she write her songs? Nope. Adding some lines does not count. Btw, has she ever? I think ITZ is the album where she was "the most involved in" yet her songs have like 5 - 10 writers each.
Does she produce music? Nope. She has never done.
Does she direct her music videos? Nope.
Britney has never been an artist. At most, she was a dancer (a very good dancer, btw). She used to be a solid entertainer. Her biggest weapon, besides her beauty and her marketing team, was her charisma. Which she has clearly lost. Is she scared of people or something?.

*Does she dance? Yes! Does she dance the way she once had? No! Even then so, she dances way better than most Pop stars today.
*Does she sing? YES! Does she sing every song live? NO! Let's not act like she hasn't ever sung live before, she has on multiple occasions. Rather you want to recognize it lies solely on you and your ignorance to her.
*Does she write her songs? Yes and No! No she doesn't write ALL her songs, but yes, she has written several songs. She has writing credits on every album she has released outside of BOMT. Did Whitney Houston write all her songs? No! Does that diminish her listing as an artist? No! She wrote more than half of ITZ herself and was listed first in each of those songs. You're so dramatic with the 10 writers listed in each song thing. Most of them have three tops. People always stated she doesn't write, yet they don't bother to look at her writing credits. It's absolutely ridiculous.
*Does she produce music? Hello she helped with the production from ITZ to present in her songs and even was Executive Producer for Blackout. She composed the piece, Everytime on a Piano while touring for DWAD Tour. We tend to forget the woman can play a musical instrument, but her naysayers have amnesia when it comes to such things.
*Does she direct her music videos? YES! She's been the SOLE reason she is an icon today. Britney was the one who came up with EVERYTHING for her BOMT video that catapulted her into fame. Not then Director, Nigel Dick, but Britney and he went on record himself saying so. She's been behind a critical voice and director of scenes in nearly all her major videos (BOMT, Crazy, Oops, Stronger, Toxic, Womanizer, Radar, Criminal, etc.)
People complain that her fans "overrate her," yet those same people are the ones that UNDERRATE HER. If we don't lay the facts down then HEW will? There are people in the world that some LOVE TO HATE PEOPLE/ORGANIZATIONS. (Ex. Britney, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Lakers, Madonna, at times Lady Gaga, MJ, etc.)

Do you think Britney's voice really sounds that way?. You guys are reaching to excuse Britney's lack of vocals and dancing abilities. I'm sorry that she's controlled by her people and she doesn't dance anymore and doesn't try to seem a singer, anymore. Stop living in the past.
