But the production on BTD is some of the best i've heard & the lyrics work perfectly with the theme of the album.

Nope.Born to Die is fresh album full of beautiful haunting melodies,production is amazing.That's not my delusion,it's a fact.They blame her for lack of lyrics and emotions which is just excuse to give her bad review based on SNL and personal hate.

Sammi, those are 100% subjective thoughts. stuff like that are NEVER "facts".
ALOT of ppl love the production on "Thriller", me included, but it's never a FACT that it's good.
the FACT is that it won alot of grammies and is the best selling album. how good it is is up to every unique listener to decide.

It's selling like hotcakes (local expression? Not sure) so critic reviews become far less important in such a scenario. Ultimately it's the public who decide an album's fate not the critics - they get given their copies, the public pay for theirs. It's really only the US critics who are being dismissive anyway.

I don't get why their tearing down the album so hard..? I mean the production for the most part is beautiful and fresh not 100% original but her lyrics most definitely are! They are beautiful and it's funny how they claim she has no substance like come on! The theme of the album is amazing and intriguing and sexy. Seems like themed albums aren't received well these days....
