What new black artist gets treated bad?..Iggy being successful isn't stopping anyone from achieving success, no white artist is stopping any black artist from being successful. Vanilla Ice, Eminem, Macklemoore, and Iggy are the only notable white acts to have success in Hip Hop culture it isn't like they took over the genre.

Riiiiiiiiight....so all the other black artist are just taking the punches and following orders but AB is just so brave that she is going against the machine...please miss me with b******t, if she blew up the way Iggy has this wouldn't even be something she would talk about it, like I said only a handful of white artist have actually made it and became successful....I'm not saying white privilege doesn't completely exist but AB is putting it all on the shoulders of 2 individuals and it isn't fair to them...Macklemoore winning was not his fault and Iggy has been rapping with that accent since 2011 when she was flopping and irrelevant so it's not like she recently just switched up her style and saw instant success so there must be some validity to her being influenced by living in the south.

It's the fact said artists are getting acclaim, praise and awards riding on 'black' music while stopping more deserving (black) artists from getting said rewards. She feels like her very own culture is being torn away from her by certain artists that somehow manage to reap rewards solely relative to the colour of their skin.

We don't worship her every word and expect her to always be right about everything though... She's outspoken and we respect some of the things she has to say because they change our perspective and allows us to form a different opinion on the issue. Nobody understands how important Azealia Banks is, not just for Hip hop but Popular Culture itself. She is such a SMART individual and stands for what she believes in.

I still think she need's to learn how to control her thoughts. I see a lot of Kanye in her but she needs to build her empire and gain the respect first because people can use it against her. Her album is up there with MBDTF tbh she is going to continue the Legacy that Missy + Kim built and take female rap to the next level.
