Justin Timberlake is doing really great if he still has #1 singles and amazing sales he defenetly will be the male artist of the decade and he was worldwide succsses.

Britney Spears was the most polemic and shes know worldwide but her biggest year was 99 now shes flopping hard, but she still have a chance cause 2000, 2002 and 2004 were great years for britney
Christina Aguilarera is over this decade she was like 3 years off and back to basic is not that good plus she didn't had a #1 single for her last album but "Stripped" do great her first album didn't count cause it was realize on 99.
Avril Lavigne is till now the Artist Of This decade (billboar say it) she has 3 succsesfull albums (more than 30 millions) she also has 3 official #1 singles she is know worldwide and I think shes the best one hope she stays as the artist of the decade!!! till 2010.
Shakira can be also cause here on latinamerica shes extreamly succsesful she HUGE! plus her crossover was on 2001 so she has 2 succsesful albums and also some #1 singles.

I think that male till now goes for Eminem (but he is over now) and maybe it could change and stay for Justin Timberlake. (Not Usher)
and the female Is between Avril Lavigne, Shakira or Britney. (Not Beyonce)

#1 singles, and whether a person isn't doing anything right now doesn't result in not being a candidate. Avril on the other hand will never be the artist of anything...

Eminem might not have done anything in the past 3 years, but that doesn't take away everything he did do in the first few years. The same for Britney.



Rapisalive, Usher has a lot of US success so that's why his WW sales are so big. Other than that you need to confirm the #'s outside the US. Justin is a worldwide giant.

Well yea that's just 1. That, "Whenever Wherever", and "La Tortura" were definitely huge hits for her, but you have to let go of the hate or whatever and admit Bee and Usher have had a line of hit singles. Bee however has been flopping with her singles.

Well he does have 10 top ten hits in the UK, nine of which went top five. He did well, singlewise worldwide, not album wise.

And yea Bee flopped with Deja Vu, Ring The Alarm, Beautiful Liar, and Get Me Bodied. The only song that had real success was "Irreplaceable".

i hope some of you guys are being sarcastic like SERIOUSLY. Usher, Mariah & JT have actually had substantial hits this decade, Avril has pretty much been a blip in the past 10 years, popping up once or twice with so-so numbers. She hasnt had any blockbuster albums, Usher at least had Confessions. Mariah had TEOM. Justin's albums have done really good too.

I think its pretty obvious its BRITNEY. I mean, Baby One More Time, Oops!, Britney were all blockbuster albums and In The Zone did really good too.

There's still two years left to go. I really think it's up in the air between Christina and Beyonce. Britney would've been included if she made a better comeback, but I really think that after 2-3 more singles she's done for the decade.
