Exactly. It's not the scandals and such that make Bey an icon, but the fact that everything she DOES becomes either a scandal or a statement, that is proof of her iconic status. Whether it's getting pregnant, potentially having a surrogate, performing at superbowl halftime, glastonbury, being accused of lipping, releasing an album, vacationing in cuba, or singing to sick people, she will forever be on people's minds and frontpage news.
