Friends is basic television with corny humor. Same kind of people that like The Big Bang Theory.

And nobody black minds all white shows. The hood loves some shows with all white main casts. Those shows just happen to actually be good.

Friends is garbage. Don't quote me. Nobody cares about impact, I can not watch & enjoy impact. Good writing? Friends doesn't have that. Good acting? ****ing lol. That **** is basic as ****.

1. Yea friends is a very whitewashed show. Not that hard to say. There were very view minority characters (blacks/asians/latinos) from the episodes that i did see.

2. I feel its more of a problem that some people/children here on ATRL cant have a damn discussion or answer the premise of this thread. It was literally asking if the show was whitewashed. Thats it. If someone asked if fresh prince was blackwashed the poc on this site wpuld literally respond yes or no and then give reasons foe their opinion. We might also probably try to give an explanation on why it might be blackwashed. But the majority of the twelve page respose from a lot of you defending the show without answering the premise shows that most of you are either ignorant or just cannot have an edjucated discussion.

3. Friends is honestly not a good show in my opinion. But i was also not the target demographic so its understandable. Just because someone doesnt think it is the greatest show on the planet doesnt mean they are wrong.

Friends in its prime was amazing btw. Seasons 2-6>>

Monica and Rachel switching apartments with Joey and Chandler in season 4

Monic and Chandler keeping their relationship a secret in season 5

Comedy is the most subjective genre because everyone has a different sense of humor. Dramas are much more universal because we can all identify with pain and have experienced the same heartbreaks in some capacity.

I thought Friends was hilarious, and Im black and have seen a good portion of shows on that list, lol.

Other than that, yeah, but that should not be an issue at all. 95% of the screen time are shared by the 6 main characters, and I'm not surprised or bothered that all 6 in their circle are white.
