My wish list for next year:
AUSTRIA
Elly V
Vocally probably better than Zoë to whom she lost in the preselection this year. The choreography of her performance was on top. I hope for something similar next year with a much better song.
GERMANY
Tom Beck
Not only very attractive but also musically a revelation - he can play many instruments. And a good actor of course.
FRANCE
Louane
Avenir was a huge hit across Europe. Why not send someone after Amir who performed really well to keep the course for France? She may even perform better than Zoë.
UK
Rita Ora
Probably less for her music but internationally known with slavic heritage. May do better than Engelbert Humperdinck, Electro Velvet and Joe and Jake.
Sweden
Eric Saade
He placed 3rd in 2010 with a basic typical Euro-Song. Why not come back with something modern, danceable after 7 years that can outdo 'Popular'?
Switzerland
Stefanie Heinzmann
She's like the swiss Joss Stone who embodies Poprock with a lot of soul. After Rykka this is a safe choice.
Ireland
Hozier
Who doesn't know his epic song 'Take me to church'? Something in the same league could do wonders for him and get Ireland a good place again after all these flop entries.
Ukraine
Alyosha
Another returnee from 2010 I'd like to see compete again. A good representant for the hosting country.
Australia
Vanessa Amorosi
You may know her hit song in the late 90s 'Absolutely Everybody' which made her a star over night. After years where she vanished from the pop business she could rise again for Australia.
Norway
Maria Mena
Relatively known in Europe she had a few moderate hits and a voice of an angel. If anything ballads are her strength.
Netherlands
Within Temptation
Very well known across the metal scene and the obligatory rockband in the contest. Sharon den Adel has a lot to offer vocally and together they can receive a top position similar to the Common Linnets and Douwe Bob.
