Christina Aguilera’s upcoming album Bionic has been postponed, according to a statement by RCA Records.

The singer's fourth studio album was originally scheduled for a March 2010 release but has now been pushed back to April.

'Glam', the first single from Bionic, is expected to hit radio airwaves in February.

Aguilera has worked with collaborators including Goldfrapp, Ladytron and M.I.A on the album, as well as past producers Linda Perry, Tricky Stewart and The Neptunes.

Goldfrapp talk Xtina collaboration: Song may or may not make Bionic

As for their previously reported work with Christina Aguilera, they say they joined her in the studio about a year ago to collaborate on a song that may or may not be released on Aguilera’s upcoming Bionic. “We didn’t finish it, so who knows what will happen,” Goldfrapp says. Adds Gregory: “It was very nice to be asked, very nice to work with her…And then we haven’t heard where it is, so we’re sort of curious to know.” (A rep for Aguilera’s label was unable to confirm whether the song will make Bionic’s final track listing.)

The album has been pushed back 4 times. The first new song from Bionic to be released on iTunes was a spectacular flop in the US and internationally. One of the most hyped collaboration on the album (Goldfrapp) looks like it's in tatters and most likely won't make the cut. Not to mention that people are expecting Bionic to be a masterpiece since they all thought that those viral videos were Christina's, but they will be even more disappointed when they realise that her album isn't even going in that direction.

I think the collab is on the album. I remember Christina saying Goldfrapp during the E! special in October. If it isn't, then Christina must have made a judgement call and put better songs on the album.
