Why are some people acting like being a pop star is hard for some and for others is not?
All of them pop stars should be thrown in the same bowl. They don't work hard as the average person who struggles to pay the bills at the end of the month. They all may have a hard time hitting it big at the beginning of their careers, but after that, all the work is usually being done behind the scenes.

Big Machine Records was founded by Scott Borchetta, a label in which her dad owns 3%. That's hardly "her dad started a label".

I'm not the biggest fan of Taylor, but I actually like what she said. I feel a lot of popstars complain about how difficult it is, instead of being grateful and realizing their jobs are much easier than 98% of other jobs.

Well Taylor should wake up every morning, warm her voice, stretch her body, workout, then head to her soundstage, make sure she sounds on key, make sure lighting/stage looks perfect, write the scenarios of her music videos, watch her diet, be certain that her answers in her interviews while being honest have to be appropriate, and also watch her brand.

If you have 15-30 people working behind you, for sure you won't do ****. Yes, she writes her songs, but if that's the only real part you take control of, it's not that much of a job. Rare are those that take the time to do everything. Of course, when you reach your first million, I guess the financial stress has most probably disappeared, but let's be honest, Taylor doesn't work out, she sings like anyone I know, she doesn't dance, there's a lot more work involved in what she does compared to what other artists do.

An artist like Michael Jackson surely was feeling all the heat, whether it was paparazzi pressure, financial hardship from bad decisions, extenuating rehearsals linked to heavy use of his vocal ability and dancing skills. Okay, maybe not comparable to something in a sweat shop, but heck, there's a lot of work implied in this business. Heck he also co-directed his videos, designed his tours, built a visual identity, etc.

Good for her for being the Holy Spirit, and having thrown at her feet now that she's friend with half of Hollywood, or whatever she wants us to believe.

P.S.: Work out for the sake of the ''sexy'' pop star image, not necessiraly obligated.

I really don't think it's hard to be a popstar. Literally one big song or album can set you for life. Even not as big acts can work a few years and be set for life if they make their way to top 40.

The only hard part about being a pop star is how you handle the fame. Some girls lose control, misbehave and become self destructive. That can ruin an image and make life in general hard for you, but like any job, you must know your self worth and stay positive or else the stress of work will take the best if you. It's not like she said she doesn't work hard, she's just letting us know that the job doesn't overwhelm her like it does for others.

I'm sure it's not hard for her or any other pop star who has made it and cemented their place in the industry. For those trying to make it or prove themselves, it's a lot harder, so I think it's kind of disrespectful for her to make comments that trivialize the process.
