I remember when this song first came out everyone was hyping her as the new Rihanna or whatever and she had me so pressed, especially since this song is such a bop. The song is really just fun, sassy and cool. It is a BIT basic, but I got over it. Sadly, and I really do mean sadly, "How We Do" flopped to the pits here in the US and Rita's career is still at a halt. I don't particularly like her, but I see potential and I'm interested in seeing what step she takes next.

Love U Betta - Neon Hitch
If any song should have smashed in 2012 it was this! Neon could really be the next big thing and jams like this prove it. I don't use the dirty version because I find it unnecessarily explicit, but even the clean version of the chorus *****. "Love U Betta" reminds me of Brinty's "Hold It Against Me" in the way that it builds on itself throughout the whole song and then finally explodes during the last few seconds. Oh and the video is sickeningly fierce. Like I literally felt something sexual towards her which is something few women can accomplish. I really can't wait to see what Neon has in store in 2013 I can really see myself stanning for this girl.

Girl On Fire (feat. Nicki Minaj) - Alicia Keys
I've loved this song from the start! The huge drums. The soaring chorus. Nicki's great verses. Alicia was slick in the fact that she kept her R&B roots, but she's making it happen on a mainstream level, which is rare as of late. I was worried about this in the beginning but it's taking off lately which makes me so happy. "Girl On Fire" started wearing on me after a while and the video was boring as hell so I couldn't rank it super high, but I love this jam and it's probably my favorite Alicia song to date.
Now I'm no Jessie J fan but I'd be lying if I said that "Domino" wasn't my jam towards the beginning of the year. It may be a "Last Friday Night" and "Brokenhearted" (I don't care that it came out afterwards) clone but it's nice and easy on the ears, and has that carefree replayability factor about it. A lot of people criticized Jessie's oversinging on the verses and over-accentuating of random words but I enjoyed it and helps give this blatant ripoff an edge.

Naked (feat. Enrique Iglesias) - Dev
I'll always feel some kinda way about this song because it basically ended Dev's career as we know it, but it's a quality song and couldn't help that Dev's flop team chose it as a single. Enrique is basically a non factor on the song (what's new) and the music video is terrible, but The Cataracs did great with the beat and the chorus is catchy and fun as hell. You'll see Dev on the albums part of my Best Of soon.

Good Feeling - Flo Rida
This is a cute song. The chorus is incredible and the production by God Luke is immaculate as always, I mean the song would be perfect if it wasn't for Flo Rida's mindlessly uninspired "raps". But for real "Good Feeling" is party perfection and the pop step during the breakdown? My ****.
