I love this quote and its so true. She is probably a Buddhist judging from her twitter about me. Buddhism doesn't require belief in a deity. The only think required to be an atheist is dis-belief in a god or deity. There are some atheist who say god doesn't exist but those usually are usually younger ones. There is no way to prove it but there's no evidence that such a being exists either. Science isn't a religion. Also, just because science hasn't figured out certain things doesn't mean that God or some supernatural being did it. We just don't know yet.

That quote is only half right. It is true that man is created from the earth or the matter from the universe, even the Bible tells us in Genesis that God made man from the dust of the ground. What natural science doesn't tell us is what happens to our soul when we die. This is where religion or philosophy comes in to answer that question; something that natural sciences are not interested in answering due to its nature.
