The instrumental/backing track wasn't loud enough, so it sounded off.
Also, the guitar at the start of Venus, and the piano in DWUW were totally unnecessary, it just looked stupid
Ch...when she fell down on the floor, rolled then get up and did that hesitant 1, 2 steps move, I just had to close the window. That was a little embarrassing sis and I like you.
Also she needs a new choreographer. By the way her vocals were great as usual.
AMAAAAAAZING
I really don't understand all these "it was a mess" comments
The only messy thing to me was the "But then I trip upon myself and I fall, I/I stand up" part
Messy performance, but she did the best with what she was given.
Her vocals were on point but the choreography in Venus is absolutely 100% terrible, I hope it gets reworked and I don't have to see that choreo on tour and the rest of her performances of the song.
DWYW was a mess but that is mostly because the performance was awkward and empty, since they probably just threw it in there at the last second when they made it a single. I assume it will be better once her and her team have time to figure out choreo and what to do with the R. Kelly verse.
The whole thing also would've had some more energy had the back track at least been more present.
She sounded good and you always have to give it to her for putting a lot of effort and energy into her performances. But overall, I feel like her performances need to be a bit tighter bc they do tend to come across messy like this more often than not (at least with the last couple of eras). A new choreographer would probably help with this. Nonetheless, I think I will like Venus more than I felt I would initially!
Are the Monsters having an online meltdown/shadefest or something because of this performance? She just posted this:

Monsters, please just focus on the positive of tonight's performance and do not send any hateful messages. I don't support it. #SpreadLove
