What kind of ********? This takes so much longer. How are you supposed to use this method on any numbers with a big gap in between? Spend a whole day finding out 2435235-1338294 when the original method takes like 30 seconds?
The "new way" isn't great in my opinion but at least it will help avoid any "carry the one" / negatives mess, and I guess it's technically a more correct procedure? Still not a fan. Its usage becomes more apparent and helpful with big numbers.
