I'm calling it. Lady Gaga will play a transgender. And I'm not kidding. I have so many theories on why I actually believe this is possible.

Yes because that will be so groundbreaking and she has never done that before...  Why would she play a male when 4 other males have been casted? 5 male characters to one female character doesn't make sense and wouldn't make a ryan murphy show from Nip/Tuck to Now all his shows are dominated by gay characters and strong females.

I actually believe it's going to be male to female.
I'm on my phone, so it's really hard to explain. But their are so many things that are making me believe this, apart from that fact that it's Gaga, and I really don't see her just paying a type cast of a previous Jessica Lange character, it's said that it took some time for them to create and construct her character before she was full convinced to be apart of the show, she always does things out of the norm, Ryan said her character will shock.
And the biggest thing of all, I heard Ryan Murphy pitched a show, I'm not sure how long ago this was, but this information just happened to come across my path now. It was supposed to be a 4 season show called Pretty Handsome something along those lines and it was going to follow a transgender undergoing their transformation over the 4 seasons that they had planned, and it had something to do with doctors, and the relationship between the doctor and the transgender. So I really could see Gaga having that role, it would mask a lot of fears people have about her acting, it would encourage her theatrical side, I could be completely wrong, but I've been having this thought for about 2 weeks, and now I heard about this.
I don't know how I feel about it if true, it would be seriously awkward to watch with my family, who love the show. But if Bobby (Gaga's manager) said that this whole year is about showing Gaga in a different light, showing more of the lady in her, maybe we will see her cast as just another strong female on the show, but let's remember it is Gaga after all..

That already happened in Nip/Tuck which is a Ryan Murphy show

To add to my precious post. It really could be female to male though as well, which was another theory I had to why she posted a picture of Jo Calderone on Instagram not so long along, I mean her fans believe she does everything for a reason, and truly they aren't wrong, because she's probably already posting lyrics, and dropping hints for her music, future projects etc.
I think it's strongly possible. And I'm calling it now.
And I'm not saying I'm here for it, I wouldn't really know till I seen it, but I'm usually intuitive when it comes to Gaga.

Oh, I did hear something about Nip/Tuck and a transgender, maybe it as just that, but I did hear something about the pitch being a show called Pretty Handsome, and it being 4 seasons, unless that show just ended up being Nip/Tuck. (I really know nothing about that show, so what I'm saying could make no sense, and my Pretty Handsome thing could've just been the original idea of Nip/Tuck)
Anyway I guess it means he is unafraid to go down that path on popular television.

I think it's strongly possible. And I'm calling it now.
And I'm not saying I'm here for it, I wouldn't really know till I seen it, but I'm usually intuitive when it comes to Gaga.

Gaga has enough trouble just trying to act like a female.
Sorry but I don't believe she has the depth to pull off something like a trans character. Gaga herself probably doesn't think she could pull it off either... especially in her TV debut.

Her first role in a movie was a chameleon, broken up into 3 parts, the other two were both men, and in some parts her voice was spoken as a man, I mean I think it's safe to say she isn't looking for the norm, why else would she sign up for AHS

I would hope Gaga is smart enough to agree to something she could nail over the course of 13 episodes.

If she plays some horrible trasgender in AHS her career and the series will be deservingly over  FX shouldn't let Ryan to **** up everything like that

I'm just going to post the rest of my theory now before I forget to put it into the universe. I also believe this season will be based around Vampires, yes vampires. Look at the cast, and tell me they couldn't easily be a gang of vampires, I mean that new guy added to the pack, looks like a vampire already.
Gaga always drops little hints, even if they aren't specific, to the point where someone could figure them out, but it's just enough for her to be able to feed her excitement, and let out the little information that she feels she can, even if it isn't much, it feels like a lot to her, something ahe can share with her fans.
She was tweeting a lot of those mysical crystal balls before her being on AHS was announced, that was possibly her little hint, small yes, but for her a major tease. She was instagraming that emoji a lot to, and also had a whole post about vampires all before her starting on AHS was announced, she also posted the picture of Jo which is actually now making me think, she might just actually play Jo, and bring him to life on our television screens.
I'm not saying these are good ideas, or that they should happen, I personally don't know how I feel about my theories, but I think they're really possible.
I know people posted a thing where it so calls revealed info about the upcoming season, and it said it'd have no supernatural elements (that IMDb post) but it also said Jessica Lange would return in a smaller role, which at this point doesn't look likely, and it said Gaga was signed on for another 3 seasons, which I think is strongly unlikely, it would be a year to year thing. Testing how it goes. And Gaga has music plans. And I mean you really think their aren't going to be ghost, when I'm guessing their will be a haunted element to the hotel, you can already picture someone jumping off a balcony and coming back as a ghost.
Vampires, and Gaga playing a transgender (could be Jo Calderone, or it going me a new figure female to male, or even male to female (which would probably be more exciting) these are my predictions! They're kind of crazy and maybe a reach, but it's Ryan Murphy teaming up with Lady Gaga, I think we should expect crazy at the very least.

Her playing a transgender character would make the series a drama though  I can't think of a way they could sneak the horror element into that story.
