Gaga was big only for a year and a half - two years. Basically 2009 and part of 2008 and 2010. I don't understand why some people act like she is some kind of massive super star with huge longevity. The party has been over since 2010.

And 7 (?) consecutive #1 singles are nothing, right? After them she still got Pop support like a bunch of Top 3 peaks, other Top 10 singles and only Judas and MTN, the black sheeps, peaked in Top 15 and Top 20. I wasn't expecting Applause to be a massive hit on Pop but at least a Top 10 hit given the premises

She did, but this is her Born This Way era (coming off a huge breakthrough album). Born This Way vs. Roar would be a more fair comparison.

As for Gaga, radio stations were mad about those tweets she sent out. People acted as if I was lying about what I heard on the radio. It was more than one station that was dragging Gaga for those tweets. You might not think those tweets were bad but the stations did.
