This sounds very Lana-like. The independence part especially with how her career has gone thus far.
“[The artist] feels there are compensation problems [on streaming platforms].”
After having her hard drive jacked and some new songs sent all over the internet of course she would feel that there are compensation problems with streaming sites like Spotify.
"And what happens to the rest of the audience, ie, those that only stream and rarely (if ever) download? ”They don’t expect any backlash off of this. The fans that matter will buy it.”"
THIS more than anything else makes me think it might be her. She knows that her true fans will buy it no matter what. One because we love her music and two because I would think we would all want to support her with the release of UV.
I don't ladies and gents, I know I'm new here but I have been her fan for as long or longer as any of us. Just trying to get us thinking a little more about this (even though it was mentioned about 7,562 pages back in this thread) and why a billboard campaign started with no release date at all.

Well, can it hurry up and happen then?
To be honest, I've thought the same. I could totally see the album dropping right before the tour, which could be used to prolong the buzz.
