MOST PLAYED ALBUMS
KATY PERRY LIVING IN A TEENAGE DREAM
"Teenage Dream" (fueled with the re-release) gets half of ten weeks on the chart's summit. Katy Perry surpasses Rihanna's number of weeks at the top once again, as the latter holds at the runner-up position keeping her four leading-weeks intact. The last week's number-one album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" by Nicki Minaj, plummets 1-15, setting a record of the biggest fall, and the first time the previous week leading set falls to other position than the #02.
Britney Spears makes it to the top three for the first time, as "Femme Fatale" elevates 12-3, getting a new high (her peak was no. 6, previously), by accomplishing this, she joins the sparsely populated club of acts that have reached the top three on the tally. This is a list of such club members:- Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (Peak no. 1)
- Rihanna - Talk That Talk (Peak no. 1)
- Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (Peak no. 1)
- Justin Bieber - Believe (Peak no. 3)
- Lana del Rey - Born to Die (Peak no. 3)
- Ellie Goulding - Lights (Peak no. 3)
- Britney Spears - Femme Fatale (Peak no. 3)
Oh!, talking about clubs, Owl City claims the Hot Shot Debut title with his new set "The Midsummer Station" (which of course includes his ATRL number-one hit "Good Time", along with other chart topper artist, Carly Rae Jepsen), the set bows at no. 57, marking the lone-member, Adam Young, second entry and best rank ("Ocean Eyes" debuted and peaked at no. 61 on the July 14 issue).

RAP TRACKS
AMEN FOR MEEK MILL AND DRAKE
Lucky seven for Drake!, yes, he debuts his 7th song on the Rap Tracks chart, as "Amen", with Meek Mill, bows at the bottom of the tally. Drake's career on this ranking has had a chart-topper, the 9 weeks leader "Take Care" (featuring Rihanna). That number of weeks give 'Take' the record of longest no. 1-run, in second place comes "Mercy", by Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz, with 7 weeks.
For Meek Mill this is his third entry, but the first one as a lead artist. Meanwhile at the top of the chart, Flo Rida keeps on whistling his melody along with the whole top four, which stays static.

R&B/HIP-HOP SONGS
BEYONCÉ CLAIMS THIRD ENTRY OFF 4
Even though her album titled "4" was released more than a year ago, Beyoncé keeps on getting hits out of it. This week she lands the track called "I Was Here" with Hot Shot Debut honors, at no. 25. This is the Crazy in Love-singer third entry on the tally, after her no. 8-peaking "Love on Top" and the top five hit "End of Time". Other act with a new entry is Azealia Banks, who charts her song "Van Vogue", being this her sixth entry.
Nicki Minaj, who has had two number-one hits on this ranking, reloads the chart with a new song, "I Am Your Leader", featuring Rick Ross and Cam'ron, enters at no. 30. This could become Minaj's third chart-topper, which would set a record.
In other news, the top 20 receives three new songs: two songs where Meek Mill appears, "Amen", featuring Drake, that goes 21-18, and "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" along with Mariah Carey and Rick Ross, that flies 24-19; and finally, Jessie Ware's "Wildest Moments", which elevates 23-20.

RHYTHMIC URBAN
NICKI MINAJ POUNDS THE TOP OF THE CHART
Nicki Minaj gets her first number-one on the Rhythmic Urban chart, as "Pound the Alarm" sounds 2-1. This makes Minaj the third woman to top the tally, after Rihanna with "Where Have You Been" (3 weeks) and Jennifer López with "Follow the Leader" (With Wisin & Yandel; 2 weeks). Even with this movement, one of last week's leading acts doesn't let himself be defeated, as Ne-Yo debuts other song, this time by his own, "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself), at no. 30.
Pitbull and Shakira crack into the top ten for the first time, pushing 11-10, with their song "Get It Started". 'Started' is the first single of Pitbull's upcoming seventh studio album "Global Warming", which will most likely generate some Rhythmic Urban hits.

TRIPLE-A FORMAT
ELLIE GOULDING SETS A RECORD
Ellie Goulding claims a new feat, never seen before, thanks to her smash hit "Lights". "Lights" becomes the first song ever to top five different Individual Charts, as she previously topped the Indie Top, Top Dance Songs, Adult Pop Songs and Mainstream Top 40 (aka Pop Songs). This accomplishment is even more surprising as the song never topped the ATRL Hot 100, it peaked at no. 6 (so far, at least).
The only debut of the week belongs to The xx's "Angels", starting at no. 15.

ACTIVE ROCK SONGS
GREEN DAY GETS THE NÚMERO UNO!
It isn't surprising that a single off an album called "ĄUno!", Spanish for "One!", hits the number-one spot on a chart. "Oh Love" by Green Day rocks up 3-1 in its sixth week, dethroning fun. with their hit "Some Nights". 'Nights' falls 1-2 after spending five consecutive weeks atop. The Killers rebound, as they elevate 6-4, while Linkin Park's former chart-ruler "Burn It Down" dips 5-7, finding themselves one position above their newest entry, "Lost in the Echo", which reaches a new high by leaping 9-8.
Muse claims Hot Shot Debut accolades as their song "Madness" launches at no. 13.

BALLADS & EMOTIONAL SONGS
CARRIE UNDERWOOD, STRONG AS A STORM
Carrie Underwood claims her first chart leader on the Ballads & Emotional Songs chart, as "Blown Away" blows "Wide Awake" down in this week. Katy Perry, who held the top spot during 6 consecutive weeks, dips 1-2 in her 11th charting week.
Seems like the number-ones from the past are trying to come back, as the one-week leaders "Titanium" and "Give Your Heart a Break, by David Guetta (featuring Sia) and Demi Lovato, respectively, soar one position each. The 11-weeks king "Payphone" also jumps, but the Maroon 5 and Whiz Khalifa's song moves 3 spots.
This weeks also breaks the record of most debuts in a single issue, as on this frame, 6 songs make their entry. This surpasses the weeks where 5 songs debuted: April 7, April 14 and June 30.

REGIONAL MEXICAN
3BALLMTY BREAKS CALIBRE 50'S RECORD
3BallMTY, América Sierra and Smoky have reasons to be kissing the air, as their "Besos al Aire" has just broken Calibre 50's "Mujer de Todos, Mujer de Nadie" record. 'Besos' has stayed atop for 4 consecutive weeks, one more than 'Mujer's' three leading-weeks. If they hold at the top for one more week, they will tie the total weeks atop for an act, because the Te Estoy Engańando con Otra-Singers have topped 5 weeks in total (besides 'Mujer', their hit "Gente Batallosa" (featuring Banda Carnaval) commanded for two weeks).

REGGAETON
DADDY YANKEE WALKING ON THE CATWALK
Daddy Yankee enters the top three, as his "Pasarela" jumps 4-3. This marks his highest peak so far, as "Lovumba (Prestige)" only peaked at #05 (it would've hit number-one probably if the chart were running in 'Lovumba's' prime). Juan Magán, Pitbull and El Cata make the already-expected debut of "Bailando por el Mundo". This song has debuted on most Latin charts, even though the song is almost one year old. At the top, Wisin & Yandel and Jennifer López's "Follow the Leader" keeps the title of the only chart leader in the chart's six weeks of life.

TEEN SONGS
JUSTIN BIEBER TIES HIMSELF
Justin Bieber ties the number of weeks at number-one of his past single "Boyfriend", as "As Long as You Love Me", featuring Big Sean, holds at the summit for a fourth week. The sum of both songs results in 8 week, the same quantity spent by One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful". They hold the record of most total leading weeks for an act, as along with "One Thing" they ruled for 10 weeks.
Eiza González is static at the bottom of the chart, no. 18, for a fourth consecutive weeks. She has lived all of her chart life stuck at that number.

*Teen Songs Chart doesn't only include songs performed by teenagers; the songs tracked in this tally are the ones geared towards children/teenager's audiences (being them the principal target). Things like lyrics of the songs and age of the singer(s), are taken in consideration for chart purposes; older artists get lower points.
