CJK stands for Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters, and is in featured in the last section of emojis. Those emojis are always just there, but a lot of people don't actually know what they mean. That's why I made a trinity about them.
This emoji is a Japanese/Chinese/Korean sign for: to forbid, restrict or prohibit
Cher - Dark Lady
Dark Lady is a song by Cher. It is often described as a 'murder ballad'. Cher sings from the narrator who commits a crime, that crime is killing her own husband and a fortune teller he is having an affair with. The song is all about a forbidden action, murder is ofcourse something that is forbidden by the law. The emoji is also red of color, which is a color to describe anger. In this case the anger because of a cheating partner, resulting in murder.
Laughing and kissing till they saw the gun in my hand
The next thing I knew they were dead on the floor

This Emoji has the name of Squared Katakana Koko, which is Japanese for 'here', as in a destination
Christine & The Queens - Here
Here is a ballad by the French recording artist Christine & The Queen. The song is a mixture of French and English. The song is about a place/destination where everything happens. A perfect match to the emoji because the song is all about an unknown destination where everything happened. The emoji is blue/grey. Both colors depict sadness or fear. Just like in this song. Christine/the narrator is full of fear for 'here' and she is sad about all the bad things that happened there.
Don't let anything be lost
Silence mat, réveil brutal
Here is where everything happened
This emoji means to own or to possess in Japanese/Chinese/Korean
Lesley Gore - You Don't Own Me
You Don't Own Me is a song which is about a woman who stands up to her lover. She isn't his possession, she is free to do whatever she wants. The emoji is orange of color, which has a spiritual meaning of confidence. Those two things match this emoji perfectly, it's a song about owning (or in this case not owning) and it features a woman confident enough to stand up against a possesive lover.
You don't own me
Don't try to change me in any way
Staryu
My trinity is based off me being single and desires for a man tbh, another lonely holiday season for Staryu and it was the first theme that came to my mind while scanning through the emoji list.
I see these two as soulmates, they were made for each other, happy gay couples text them to one another. The feel the lyrics of the chorus pretty much sum up what this emoji says to me, even these yellow gay men emoji have a soulmate, so why am I on my own if there's a soulmate for everyone.
Another dark, cold lonely night. I binge through a show I've seen 3 times already on Netflix. I stare at the clock, its after midnight, nowhere to go but to bed, wishing I had a man to hold me tight, make me his little spoon, and save me from the darkness.
I see him smiling at me. He has beautiful, light blue diamond eyes, they twinkle when he smiles. He has flawless golden brown skin, the color of fresh crispy fried chicken. You can tell he is kind and warm.. and that he has a good job.
The man of my dreams offers me his hand, we dance in the moonlight, with the stars above us and the ocean behind us. We sit by the beach, he feeds me teriyaki chicken wings, drums only. I smile and laugh and eat. He takes his thumb and wipes off a dab of teriyaki wing sauce off the corner of my mouth, we stare into each other's eyes, and just as the sun starts to rise, we kiss.

Greetings, my kins! This is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane aka Halsey, Tumblr Superstar, Queen of SJWs, Synesthesian Rights Activist, and LGBTQQIP2SAABUYBADLANDSONITUNES Icon. Today, I will be teaching you "Appropriation 101" which is a very timely lesson to learn. I read a lot of pamphlets and blogs about this so I am very prepared. Appropriation comes from the Greek word apropos which means appropriate and the ion part means action of. So like it's the action of appropriating or something. This has really been a huge issue for the last couple years ever since my good friendTwitter follower fellow musician, Azealia Banks, cried about it in that interview. Ever since then, it has affected our society, especially the music industry, in that everybody was afraid to collaborate with Iggy Azalea, only the brave and/or ignorant ones were able to do so. But the truth is that cultural appropriation has been around for long time. It just wasn't a big deal back then and thus often overlooked. And this brings us to our first example. Prepare your ears for some fruity, sweet, sinful music.
Aside from the B-A-N-A-N-A line, Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani is also known for having Japanese girls as props. These are Gwen's four backup dancers, the Harajuku Girls, and she even named them Love, Angel, Music and Baby based on her debut album's title. Don't treat your dancers like pets, Gwenny Gwen Gwen. Since her solo debut in 2004, they have been silently following her around everywhere wearing over-the-top Japanese street fashion. Gwen was highly criticized for this, most notably by Asian-American entertainer, Margaret Cho, who slammed her for reinforcing negative stereotypes of Asian women such as strictly speaking in Japanese and acting robotic. A decade later, Gwen apparently still hasn't learned her lesson but at least we have this irresistible jam to enjoy.
Next up we have Taylor Swift's bff aka Justin Bieber's ex aka the least crazy Disney girl, Selena Gomez. By the way, Bieber and I have collaborated and partied together and I must say his pits smell really nice. (I took a sniff when noone was looking.) Anyway, even this sweet little girl cannot escape controversy. In her 2013 MTV Movie Awards performance of hit single Come & Get It, Selena donned a red dress and a controversial bindi on her forehead. This is what outraged a lot of Hindu groups. According to Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, "The bindi on the forehead is an ancient tradition in Hinduism and has religious significance. It is also sometimes referred to as the third eye and the flame, and it is an auspicious religious and spiritual symbol… It is not meant to be thrown around loosely for seductive effects or as a fashion accessory aiming at mercantile greed." Just be careful next time, girl! Her new album, Revival, is now available on iTunes and music stores worldwide.
Last but not the least, we have the most controversial popstar of the past couple years, Miley Cyrus. From grinding on a married man to smoking weed onstage, this crazeball has done it all. She/ he/ it/ zhe (idk her pronoun) has been the subject of everyone's conversations for a long time (until they got bored of her because they've seen it all) and for good reasons. Anxious to shed off her Disney image, Miley learned the provocative style of dancing known as twerking. According to Bust.com, twerking is a dance style that involves “shaking the upper and lower hips in an up and down bouncing motion,” which was influenced heavily by the New Orleans bounce music scene, and can be traced further back to traditional African dance forms. Soon enough, "Miley" and "twerk" became inseparable in sentences. Things only got worse when she released the music video for her then lead single, We Can't Stop. The tongue-wagging, ass-shaking, grill-wearing songstress was accused of accessorizing black people and trivializing black culture for the sake of her music. As a part-time African-American, this really offends me. Thankfully, Miley is on the white hippie act now.
And that is the end of our lesson for today. Hopefully, you learned a lot and won't be making the same mistakes that these pop (eew!) acts (that I am sooo above of) made. I wanna say thank you to my fans who bought my album because I was able to buy a tent and am no longer homeless! To the idiots who listen to mainstream music on the radio, don't listen to my album unless you discovered it on Tumblr and DON'T ERASE MY RACE!!!

rl231's EMOJI Trinity
And now, it's time for the top 3 @ 3 emoji countdown on ATRL 93.3!!!!
First off, we start off with the baby angel emoji, which is a very innocent baby. And to make it a couple, we wanted to have something slightly darker but very similar to the emoji. So at #3, we have the baby angel and Angel by The Weeknd! Listen to the song that should (but never will) become a single!
At #2, we have the girl dancing in the red dress emoji and Ciara's Dance Like We're Making Love! Literally, the girl looks like she wants to make love to the man that she's with, maybe Russell Wilson should make sure that Ciara stays with him because she's definitely a keeper! AND SHE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE EMOJI IN THE MUSIC VIDEO TOO.
SQUAD RISE UP. At #1, we have the women with bunny outfits who are seemingly best friends, so this is paired up with TĀLĀ & Banks' Wolfpack. The song represents women, who are wolves, eating their prey . But really, it's about girls sticking with each other amidst all the BS that surrounds them.

The ending of a relationship explained through emojis, and the stages of grief.
"I really feel that I'm losing my best friend.
I can't believe this could be the end."
DENIAL: The worst part of the end of a relationship are the moments leading up to it. The "two week notice" that it's ending. The dread of waiting for it to happen. Having hope that it isn't really going to happen. You don't want to believe that this could possibly end.
I couldn't find a YouTube video of it, but here it is.
Here's the best I could find on YouTube.
"Did you find the note that I wrote?
I hide it in the seam of your coat.
It was hard to write, I had a lump in my throat.
Do you even know that I can't let go?"
BARGAINING: One of the more tragic stages, in which you try to strike a deal, or a plea, to try to save the death of the relationship.
"I saw the light the in you, going out as I closed the window."
ACCEPTANCE: It's here. It's happened. You're finally ready to accept it. This is the final stage of grief. Not to be confused with being "alright" or "ok", but just accepting the fact that it is over.

IMAGINE
For my emoji trinity, I decided to go with hand gesture emojis. If you think about it, one could easily get their emotions across through their hands. Whether is a peace sign, pointing up, or extending your hand to greet someone, we use our hands every day for simple communication.
My first hand gesture, I choose the new, middle finger. Whether you're angry at someone, goofing off with someone, or fingering someone, the middle finger is a great way to express yourself. Lily Allen's song "**** You" really embodies the anger side of the middle finger, and shows anger at someone who backstabbed her.
Second, the "OK" hand sign emoji represents perfection and doing something great. You can use this hand sign when you're ready, or after you did something amazing or perfect. To me, RuPaul's "Cover Girl" greatly represents this gesture because of the lyrics and meaning behind the song. "Cover Girl"
is about someone who looks beautiful, feels beautiful and acts beautiful. The song truly embodies glamour and the perfect side of fame.
Lastly, the peace sign emoji. When someone uses their two fingers to make the peace sign, it's a sign of love, friendship, and caring. No other song besides "Imagine" by John Lennon embodies this hand sign as perfectly as it does. A world without stigmas, judgment and stereotypes is something we can only dream of, but it's something that's beautiful and serene, and that everyone should strive towards.
Second batch (only two more entries) coming in a sec. Banned artists coming soon!
Favorite lyrics: “If you're not wearing nails, you're not doing drag.”
"Nails" - Alaska Thunder**** 5000
The song has the same name as the emoji, sure, but the connection goes deeper than that. Emojis are modern day heiroglyphs--pictographs that convey a lot more than their face value. The nails emoji is in every gay boy's Recently Used. The nails emoji is nonchalant, which goes with the vocal delivery of "Nails." The nails emoji conveys fierceness, which is plenty prominent in a song about wearing nails. The nails emoji is fabulous, and what's more fabulous than a drag queen who crash landed from the planet Glamtron? 💅
Favorite lyrics: “You'll never meet my mom, strings will never be attached,
We'll always get along 'cause it doesn't have to last.”
"Casual Sex" - My Darkest Days
The smirk emoji is a favorite on Grindr and between friends with benefits. The emoji almost always connotes sex, but there's a grimy undertone to it. It drops all pretense and directs the conversation right to sex, which the song conveys perfectly. "Casual Sex" is sleazy but to-the-point, like the emoji. It's just your typical hardcore casual sex. 😏
Favorite lyrics: “Baby, if I act like that, flipping my blonde hair back,
Push up my bra like that, I don't wanna be a stupid girl.”
"Stupid Girls" - P!nk
The kiss emoji is another common weapon in a gay boy's iPhone arsenal. It's used often, but I find it ironically superficial, a lot like "Stupid Girls." The kiss emoji carries a vain sense of superiority, but behind that is a sense of smug brashness. The kiss emoji is used for #sassiness, but there's a layer of confidence to it that sort of mocks its face meaning, much like the song. The kiss emoji's not just for stupid girls. 💋

This Om' symbol is the symbol of Hinduism and Hindu belief is very strong with the importance of inner peace. Shanti means peace, and Ashtangi refers to someone who does ashtanga yoga, which is the form of yoga most people think of. This Madonna song talks about waking up at the guru's feet at the lotus and feeling peaceful, which is why I think it's the perfect pop song to represent Hinduism, and I like this a lot more than a normal Ravi Shankar song.
The yin yang represents duality between our soft side and our hard side, between fire and water, between two opposites. That's why I chose the bond song Duel which features the two violinists dueling it out with each other on stage. The yin yang is an important symbol in all Taoist beliefs.
This is the symbol of the Islamic faith which has currently been in the news a lot this year because of ISIS and the conflicts in the Middle East. The fact that we in America even have to have a discussion on whether or not to accept refugees from the area of conflict is crazy. M.I.A. points this out in her song Borders, which has been very controversial to those with the varying beliefs. It's a great representation for that faith at the moment.
