The fact that these millennials are being engaged in civics and voicing their opinions on the issues (no matter how dumbfounded the explanations may sound sometimes) is enough for now (and Hillary agrees with this). They'll grow to know more by time. I think one of the main reasons young people run away from the political process is because of demonizing comments like these; they need to be brought in, not left out.

I remember someone on this thread saying that the idea of millennials getting more civically-engaged and having a solid say in politics was 'absolutely terrifying' to them - that comment was absolutely terrifying to me.

I'm aware and so have/do many Hillary supporters who aren't well-informed on the political process. So do many Bernie supporters. That point was a criticism of people overgeneralizing and launching unnecessary attacks and you only responded to the first sentence of my entire post.

A Bernie stan on Facebook yesterday was mad at the Democratic Partys page for saying Hillary won in a landslide and not saying Bernie won in one either. Said "it's obvious to see who paid for this status".

Or.....Bernie barely won and Hillary actually won in a landslide.

Personally I wouldn't put the average Hilary supporter on the same level political knowledge-wise as a Hilary supporter. Considering, Hilary doesn't draw that many new voters (nor young ones), we can determine a good chunk of people voting for her now, voted in 08'. Meaning, they've been around, this isn't their first rodeo. They had to check for Hilary, try to rationalize how she lost in 08', and start supporting for this cycle, over a longer period of time.

On the other side, most Bernie supporters are young first time voters and it's their first time voting in any official election, ever. Most of Bernie's support only happened mid-2015 to now so, that's too little time for anyone to learn about politics while subsequently learning about their favorite candidate. That also creates an extremely biased socialization mentally which makes the average Bernie voter only like Bernie politically and just not care about politics otherwise until they find more reasons to be interested and invested. Some Hilary supporters in 08' had to overcome that type of bias and support Obama in GE and once again in 2012 (considering Hilary went to bat to support Obama in various ways after her loss).

tl;dr: There's a better chance and greater opportunity that the average Hilary supporter knows more about politics than the average Bernie supporter.

It's pretty obvious he is not invested in the party itself. Hillary has raised over $150M during the primary election and has given $30M back to the party for downticket races, and he has raised over $80M and has only given back $1K..$1000...ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS

The most crucial election this November will be downticket races, in 2010 we were wiped off the map, the country at a state level hasn't been this red in over 50 years. Not investing in that is beyond pale.
