I wish. The ballad that was slated for single release is not my favorite. I doubt she's going seven singles deep now given the unexpected longevity of "Dark Horse" on the charts. That also means both remaining uptempos could be sacrificed, but who knows. Katy planned all of the singles at the beginning of the era because she knew she would be on tour.
I don't know where all of this "she's on tour so she wanted to release the mediocre songs that don't need promo" business came from. It's not logical, and it's not true (and "Birthday" wasn't mediocre). Katy chooses her singles. She takes input, but she's the HBIC. Katy's team is 75% Katy--everyone else just helps her bring her ideas to fruition.
Puppet, they say.
The ballad that was considered for single is This Moment?
This is How We Do is so much better than Last Friday Night.
Why are they even compared, it should be compared to California Gurls, Birthday is the LFN, not TIHWD.
International Smile is the most gay song on Prism after WOA. TIHWD, if handled properly (with a mature but funny video; no kids), could be marketed as the next Thrift Shop.
