Yes it is. But it's also considered a reboot to the series.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 (or just called Leatherface) is also a sequel/reboot as well.

TCM looks alright. The trailer's cool but I'm betting the movie itself will be fairly average.
I'm also interested in 'Mama.' The concept seems like it has the potential to be very interesting but I guess that the'll probably just go with the safe, jump scare route.

Just watched RE:R on movie2k and it was nice!
It started off a bit weak but got way better with time.
The quality was surprisingly good too.
I'm excited for the next movie but it seems like the next one will be the last one.

I grew up watching Friday 13th movies. Jason was my favorite serial killer, lol. Was good times...

But if someone want to watch really good horror movies, i can suggest three REALLY good horror movies: The Shining (best horror movie ever), The Exorcist, The Silence of the Lambs

Truth or Dare is my 2nd fave horror movie of 2012 (Cabin is my #1 ). The cast is hot and the story is clever. Go see it yall

I love the ending of the trailer. The movie looks decent.
