Gaga's singles were hardly ever played on radio anyway in comparison to others.
I mean, Rihanna's flops get higher airplay than most of Gaga's tracks...
Yet she managed to pull a long string of #1 singles on Pop before Born This Way! The others manage to have more overall AI cause of multiformat support while Gaga's mainly played on Pop and hardly supported by other formats (at least until TEOG when HAC and AC started playing her too) but at least she could do well on that only format before!
Plenty of songs have had a turn-around on pop. Look at "Suit & Tie," so this isn't necessarily the end. But pop radio wasn't too kind to Gaga last era, so I'm not holding my breath on it.
Why are they not playing a song that's Top 5 on iTunes?
Clearly people like the song enough to buy it, Z100 said that's it's heavily requested? This is a mess. Interscope better start writing out some cheques because.

It was her first era. Let's not act like it is such a massive accomplishment to have ONE big era. Tons of artists have done it.
Gaga was big only for a year and a half - two years. Basically 2009 and part of 2008 and 2010. I don't understand why some people act like she is some kind of massive super star with huge longevity. The party has been over since 2010.
lmao the Applause update is just normal. it had positive spins so i'm still hoping. when it starts getting negative spin updates that's the time we should be worried.

At least it's holding on iTunes
It's strange, We Can't Stop was #1 and #2 on iTunes and it's still hanging in the 60's..
I actually legitimately feel bad for the Monsters now. Everything seemed to be up and up after the VMA's and then they get lashed like this.

We Can't Stop was like #2 on iTunes for almost two months and it looks fortunate that it's even in the Top 10 on Pop right now. I wouldn't put much stock in iTunes positions.
We Can't Stop only got as high as it has on radio because of it's itunes position.
With the call out scores it had it would have been dead long ago without it's sales performance.
If Gaga can somehow stay in the top 10 on itunes that would help drag her higher on radio slowly but surely.
