I think the special MTV thing could be the TV series she did with MTV when she went back to Nashville and showed them around her home town. They usually announce their upcoming shows at the their award shows.

We are more impatient in the digital age, but as I've said a million and one times, we were mislead by Ke$ha, Luke, and her weird mom to believe that music was coming MONTHS ago. That's the difference - they set up an expectation of new music and then didn't deliver, refused to acknowledge it, and went completely silent. This situation is different.

I think it was filmed during the summer of '09 and something happened and they decided to release Tik Tok instead.
