Ugh, that's true. It was a very up-and-down season (like S3 was).
But I'm also one of the few people that was completely satisfied and pleased with the finale.
I loved the finale except like the last 15 minutes of it. The moving on thing didn't sit well with me at the time. Was great seeing so many main cast members together again on screen in that church though.

coming late to the party but then finishing all the other seasons JUST in time to watch the series finale air live.
