I get what you're saying. I understand it completely.
I just feel like people today don't know how to look at things objectively.
Somethings are cultural appropriation and need to be called out immediately
and other things are small but still get treated like a new World War is about to begin.
But then again I guess it makes sense.
If you don't make a fuss over it all they won't hear you.
So I get you I just like take a step back look at both sides and form my own opinion.
And that's my biggest problem is I feel like at some point some people just end up a mirror version of the thing they oppose only with the opposite opinion and I honestly don't think two of the same extremes can make much difference, but I could be wrong.
I paid 0 attention to cultural appropriation til they TRIED it with that Ethiopian dress. Just learning more things I'm seeing as how people are very quick to claim something as their own and will continue to do so if you don't call them out. I honestly don't think it's that big a deal though, like it's whatever nobody was hurt by them blatantly stealing the dress but it's one of those minor annoyance that you go off on, then forget happened in an hour.

I agree. There is a line between appreciation and appropriation - but it is our culture and therefor our line to draw.
