This Best Buy bonus track was originally meant for Rihanna and you can tell, the good sis even seems to imitate the Black Madonna's delivery on the song. Had Rihanna accepted this song, would the #R8 era have turned out differently? Discuss.
I hated it at first but I kinda love it now, perfect for when you need that basic bop! Tinashe definitely seems to love it though: she performs it on tour over some songs from the standard. (#justice4thugcry)
"Lana hide yo daddies!" says genetic fail. Despite being meant for Rihanna, the track is clearly influenced by Lana due to Tinashe's use of the word "daddy" 43585 times in the song. Subomie says: "Cute, but definitely bonus track material" It would be even cuter if ATRL stopped acting like bonus tracks are inferior! "Sounds just like GGGB-era Rih. I effing live." says Drowned_World, scoring it a whopping 6.8. conatus gave it a 9,5 and said: "I still can't believe this was cut from the standard in favour of songs like How Many Noises and Feels Like Filler." Maybe because those two songs are excellent and fit the mood of the album better than this does? Just sayin'
So why did Superiore give this song his 11? "This is one of the hottest 2014 tracks. I can't believe it wasn't a single, let alone at it being released as a Best Buy bonus track. Tinashe's voice shines on tracks like these and I feel like this is going to be criminally underrated in the rates so it deserves my 11."
