I don't know if it's for the same reasons, but I sure hope the album does. After all she said that it was a glimpse of the whole project. I can't imagine a cohesive work having this as lead and then dancehall songs in the mix.
Exactly. The Navy will just have to revisit her previous 7 albums if they're not feeling it. I'm Hive but this might make me stan.

With Home being a kids movie, with guaranteed fluffy PG Pop music, I just knew R8 was either going to be acoustic or overtly sexual. I wouldn't be upset with a great acoustic album from Rih.
The song is just beautiful and is giving me good vibes. I've always wanted an album which sounds like Drake's or Lana's album from my fave. She never dissapoints... I'm so proud of with her. And I'm so glad that it's smashing in the whole world.
I saw everyone is talking about her two years break and blaming her because of the first single is not like her old songs. It doesnt mean that it will not smash and it is not a good song if the single is not cheap pop dance song.
If we talk about success I just want to remind everyone "the success of Beyoncé's XO and Lady GaGa's Applause" after a long time break. When you compare XO and Applause with #FourFiveSeconds, my girl is still smashing like no other...
Go girl. Can't wait for the album and cant wait to see haters' faces a few months later...
You're basically implying that just because it's acoustic = artistic growth/better than "insert genre". Reminds me of those people hating on anything that's pop cause it's too mainstream, as if that's any indication of the quality.
Anyway lemme give it its 9th play.
