- New design to match desktop site
- New graphics for iPhone 4 retina display
- Latest threads ticker
- Updated menus and navigation
- Most recent poster listed on threads
- Signatures and titles shown in posts

That is intentional. If the images are not loaded automatically, ATRL won't use as much bandwidth on your data plan, and your battery will last longer. Many of the GIFs especially are just too much for a phone.

P.S. That's the same reason only profile avatars are used on the mobile site, instead of the off-site high-quality avatars. If you want to see that stuff automatically, switch to the desktop layout.

I browse ATRL on my phone and I prefer to do it on my phone anyways. The .gifs these stans post don't slow my page down like they do on the computer. I swear, those .gifs slow down my computer vs. my phone by like 10 minutes per hour

I think the .gifs don't show on the phone and they just show as a "link"?

It's not a formal title; it's a category of people who can see some internal site data because they used to be on the staff in the past and/or I want them to see it. I needed something to label the category so that's what I chose.

Indeed, images on the mobile layout show as links, not inline. Truth be told, the GIFs slow down my computer too, and I think it's something wrong with Google Chrome, 'cause Firefox didn't used to do that.

I actually noticed the change today at work and did a double-take. I actually like the new features, my only gripe is if I turn my phone horizontally the ATRL site only switches halfway. Meaning the left side of my phone is ATRL and the right side is blank haha. It's really not a big deal because when I hold my phone up-right it's fine.

SN: For people with Android, how do you get ATRL on your homepage? I'm still trying to figure that one

Yeah, it's too difficult to get the mobile layout to work correctly in landscape mode. It's not really something I can throw any more time and frustration at. Just keep it in portrait and it'll be fine.

I don't have an Android phone so I'm not sure about the home screen thing. We designed the mobile site for the iPhone and it's kinda just good luck that it works with Android, too. Anybody out there know the answer?
