Btw I hated Annie as a man (though she really have THAT face), and don`t get Gaga too. I don`t think she is a talented actress at all. I didn`t see a man there. just a drag. IMO

I think the difference is that Gaga has a deeper emphasis on her drag by being Jo (having an entirely different persona) in the entire duration not just mere cross-dress superficiality like Annie

No, but Gaga greated a whole persona, with a background, etc. She took it to another level. She didn't just perform in drag, she became the character for the whole night.
