I'm going to the UK in July and staying till September so I might be going to the two festivals but I'm a bit confused. I've never been to a festival before so I have some questions if anyone here can answer them.. A) How's the seating? can I buy tickets to stand on the front row? B) what's with all the camping ********? I just wanna see her and LEAVE. C) Will I have to sit through anyone like an award show or do I just see her immediately? and will the setlist be cut short because it's a festival?
A) No, it's just one big crowd.
B) Just buy a day ticket in that case. Don't just see her and leave though. There's loads to see and do at a festival and an entire line up for you to enjoy.
C) It will just be Rihanna immediately when she is due on. Presumably the set list would be quite different. More of her GP favorites/singles and less Anti. Like her Rock In Rio set I assume.

She is doing London June 24th.
+ she cancelled a couple of UK dates so won't be adding any
I'm going to wait until I see some of the tour videos to buy tickets. While I would love to see the album performed live, I'm not going to pay if the setlist consists of her old songs plus some ANTi tracks and the production is lacking. I'm not asking for born this way ball or mdna tour tea, but I get the feeling that the stage could end up being pretty basic and the performance mirror the Consideration/Work one from the BRITs. If the first dates are good and the tour doesn't seem rushed and messy, I will attend.

Lol A festival is entirely different from a normal concert. There are no seats at all, it's just a giant crowd in a field. If you want to be near the front there is lots of pushing. And the crowd is 95% annoying teenagers.
She did V festival in 2011, you can see the set up in vids from youtube
Also it's the same festival, but at two locations. The acts swap over on the Saturday/Sunday. Basically you need to choose which of the two locations you want to go to, and then buy a day ticket for the Rihanna one, so you dont camp or anything, you arrive early afternoon and leave whenever Rihanna finishes. There are loads of other acts worth seeing given you paid £100
I just want to chip in with the discussion. I think Rihanna is done with being a pop star, with this I meant when it comes to touring. She's not going to Katy Perry her stage or do ridiculous acts (this is not a shade). If we look at her previous concerts (Rock in Rio 2015 especially), she doesn't rely to big productions anymore. All she need is a stage that she can commands. She doesn't need any gimmick-y acts to entertain her fans. Her charisma and voice will shine through if all the smokes and mirrors are eliminated.
Maybe an unpopular opinion but I'd rather see Rihanna perform songs without the need to be over the top. Just her presence and her voice are enough to draw a lot of people.

This has been her from the beginning though, she's such a good performer and her vocals have gotten so much better era-to-era so I'm excited.
I think she's going to have to cancel a couple more dates in North America. I can see Quebec City being cancelled and maybe Baltimore. Those 2 are the weakest I believe and they are scheduled very oddly. I wouldn't mind anyways. The Baltimore fans can go see her in either D.C or Philly if they want.
