She's basically saying that she would rather be alone and talk to herself than be around somebody who isn't what they claim to be, aka a fake person. That's why she's taking the high-road, aka being mature and moving on.
Mirage = something that you think is real or appears to be real but isn't, an illusion that isn't how they seem.

Edit: I feel like the video of the song would be awesome. Imagine her at a large party with hunderds of people around, she looks beautiful in her sparkly jacket and worn-out jeans, alone, with noone to talk to. Then she runs away, starts a new life or something.
