I'm still coughing up dirt balls from being buried for two weeks but apology accepted.

I was actually thinking about that after I had already saved the av and closed Photoshop and didn't feel like going through the effort again. I may do it in the near future though because I really like the idea and I have an idea of how to do it. + I don't like how it takes so long for Mariah to show.

Yes! Daydream is such a classic; it's tied as my fave alongside Rainbow. WBT is a classic as well. I've heard that song nearly a thousand times and I still get RIGHT into it every single time I hear it. I gotta get the head moving, the hands gesturing, lip-syncing for my life.

My favorite MC album is Butterfly (Daydream and Merry Christmas are tied for a very close second). When I first heard Rainbow I skipped over a few of the songs, TBH (X-Girlfriend, Did I Do That?) but Can't Take That Away, Against All Odds, and Rainbow Interlude gave me SO much life. It's not one of my faves of hers but it's definitely got some high points. With her new stuff I hope she gives us some classic, simple pop/R&B moments, kinda like the retro vibe she had going on TEOM and #Beautiful. Real talk , if she did an entire album of gospel-ly stuff like Fly Like A Bird, I would be in HEAVEN. I need her to take me back to church with this new album!

You.. you SKIP Did I Do That? That's one of my favourite MC songs of all-time. It's so haunting and mysterious- I love it! Against All Odds is one of my favourites as well! I don't understand why people often call it her worst cover, I think it's incredible; she really made it into her own song.

I'm right with you on those retro pop/R&B moments and/or Gospel sound. NO ONE can do gospel like her, she seriously needs to get a hold of that sound again and bring it back.

If she was to do this she should have done it back in 2004, Her voice was perfect for it.

It's a piece of modern music history, if you ask me.

I don't use it other than the fact that she record it to get her mind off her miscarriage. So it's really not an era. I love Ribbon though and It's A Wrap.

It's my favorite to listen to recreationally... That and Rainbow.

Daydream and Butterfly are reserved for special moments of enjoyment.

I listen to Emotions every once in awhile for a nice little throwback.

Emancipation is great shower music and nostalgia when you feel like listening to something different.

The rest I don't tend to listen to in full unless it's been awhile.

As for the new album, I am longing for real instruments (as in the masterpieces of 2013, '#Beautifu' and 'Letting Go') and really good, appropriate lyrics (as in the masterpieces of 2013, '#Beautifu' and 'Letting Go'). I got so excited when she said she'd go back to the roots with 'Memoirs' but then she used the same artificial-sounding clapping beat for the entire album and ruined heavenly melodies with cheesy, uninspired lyrics (e.g. "Angels Cry"). I really don't want to start another fight about the album as it is like the favorite record of half of the base all of the sudden. All I want to say is that I need more real instruments and real and relatable lyrics compared to her last albums.
