(Mediatraffic didnt use to count all these asian countries back then and Born This Way went diamond (100k+) in Taiwan for example and also sold a lot in Thailand, Indonesia and India.

Mediatraffic is counting asian countries as well for years now. They're always saying it on their Facebook page.

To be honest, C2C is the only accurately mediatraffic tracked Gaga album, thanks to skewing of sales to the US and the West in general. Gaga has too many Asian sales for TFM and BTW (especially) for their tracking to match her IFPI shipments. BTW at 8M in shipped albums is definitely not down 1.7M below that in sales. It's usually barely a 1M difference for most new releases once the dust has settled (6.7-7M in sales). TF(M) have shipped somewhere close to 20M (hence Gaga's bragging hihi), but with different releases somewhere in the 17-18M bracket seems likely.
Her shipped albums must be something like:
20M - TF(M)
8M - BTW
2.8-3M - ARTPOP
1.8-2M - C2C (higher physical demand)
2M+ other releases
~35M shipped albums

Meh, I stopped trusting mediatraffic when they claimed BOMT and especially Oops I Did It Again sold more than The Fame outside the US  Or that Legend X's debut album sold more than Rihanna's Loud outside the US
'Oops!...I Did It Again' (2000) 22 million (=10.6M outside the US)
'The Fame (Monster)' (2008, 2009) 14,5 million (=9.9M outside the US)
But when you look at the relevant markets outside the US
Europe
TF(M): 6M+ (almost 4M in UK + Germany alone)
Oops: ~4.2M
Japan
TF(M): 1M
Oops: 242k
Canada (Nielsen SoundScan)
TF: 652,674
Oops: 710,044
Australia
TF(M): 6x platinum (outdated 2010 cert too, it was still making the year-end chart in 2011)
Oops: 3x platinum
etc..
Oops only outsold it slightly in Canada, everywhere else TF outsold it by far.
Yet miraculously Oops sold more internationally according to mediatraffic
