MiMiLamb, I am sure it was unintended to eliminate Bro and me from the list.
Write your name below, and next to it predict how much Mariah's album will do first week. When it's ever released, and the sales come we can look back and see who was right. Do an exact number not a prediction like 80-100k. This is a guess for U.S. first week, not any other country or WW.
I'm more of a docile lamb who likes to watch all y'all's cray from the sidelines, but as an old school gal who's been in love with MC since VOL back in the day, can I just remind everyone how amazing MTV Unplugged is? EVERY.SINGLE.SONG.
PS. This is my first official post, so...be nice to me.

Welcome lamby chop!!!!
Y'all. We are a mess, new lambs are afraid to even say hi to us in here. This album needs to come out soon so we can go back to being the classy and lovable base that we used to be.

I've loved MC since I was a little boy, but that was waaaay after VOL. My parents hadn't even met each other yet during that era. You're so lucky that you got to experience every little step of Mariah's extravagant career. I often find myself reading old articles/watching old videos and wishing I could have been alive during those golden years. However, I can be of the same mind on how amazing MTV Unplugged was/is. Honestly, that lil EP NEVER gets old, no matter how many times I listen to it, I'll always receive life.
Welcome to ATRL/Mariah base! Hope you become a little less docile and join in on our conversations. We love getting new people, and hearing their stories and opinions.
Okay, um, I'm still pretty unfamiliar with this place since I rarely post here and joined kind of recently, and I'm seeing all of these new members introducing themselves, so I guess this is sort of a formal introduction as a new lamb. Hi!
That was Wilma's favourite song. I miss the days of TBR. If only that "falling out" didn't happen.
Awweee yea the good ole days, When Wilma ruled TBR.

Basically I remember being in the car with my mom in the summer of 1990, driving back from my grandma's, and VOL came on the radio and I was all, "Is this Whitney?" and my mom was like, "No, it's a new girl, Mariah carey," but I couldn't believe how much she sounded like WH since it was the first time I ever heard her. Like, ever. From that second on, I was hooked. Her music has been part of my life since I was 15 years old, and I honestly can't remember or imagine my life without it. Despite all the setbacks, the flopped singles, this mess of an era, whatever, I still find myself rooting for her and wishing her success. But no matter what, above all else, I can't wait to get that new album and just disappear from the world for awhile. Because in the end, it's just about the music for me. I'm so looking foward to my own private MC moments, hopefully coming soon!

I never actually thought about what it must have been like to hear MC for the very first time. With me, I was just raised on her voice, I never discovered it or anything, it was always just kinda there. It's interesting to read the perspective of someone hearing Mariah as a brand new artist, and was actually old enough to have knowledge about other artists that were already on the scene. I know it seems like minor, but that's legitimately interesting to me. So, you've been with MC for a verrry long time then. I got two questions for you: 1. What's your favourite Mariah album? 2. What did you think of Rainbow when it first came out? Were you surprised, did you love it? Was it what you were expecting, or above your expectations? Rainbow is my favourite album, so it's interesting to hear what people initially thought of it.
I'm SUPER excited for new music too! I can't wait to finally lose myself and discover an abundance of new Mariah. Nothing else is going to matter that day/week/month, honestly. What are you hoping for this new album? Do you like the direction she's been heading with these last few singles?

Yes! Daydream is such a classic; it's tied as my fave alongside Rainbow. WBT is a classic as well. I've heard that song nearly a thousand times and I still get RIGHT into it every single time I hear it. I gotta get the head moving, the hands gesturing, lip-syncing for my life.
