That's actually untrue, I forget where I read this but somebody connected with them literally said in an interview, "For shows like this, PDs basically tell the idols how to react to situations/it would be funny if they did this, etc."

It might have been one of SHINee's japanese magazine interviews because there was one time they were really candid about a bunch of industry stuff but I can't find it now so just forget that I mentioned it.
