Since no one wants to ask me, I'll just go ahead and say it.
This basic stan found out about Adele when they heard "Set Fire To The Rain" on the radio mid 2011. But assumed it was so good that this "Adele' would never become famous. Seriously. Fast forward to the end of summer/beginning fall and I hear SLY on the radio. This Adele chick is on again. I think she is so amazing that I get back to my house and immediately look up Adele on Youtube. I see RITD pop up. And this picture of some overweight women. What. My immature self thinks "Some of these fat ladies can sing" (flopppppp, but true) I listen to it and am immediately turned into a huge Adele fan as this women has brought my deepest feelings out. I spend weeks learning everything about her. Fast forward to today and I'm wasting away posting onto this Flopchinaru Adele forum and twitter waiting for some sign of this lovely lady.
Was never a Gaga fan. I liked Taylor for a bit in 09-10, but not like Swiftie-level or anything. But then some guy came up to me in the cafeteria after I'd been asked to do this music countdown thing on the announcements that morning, and told me that I was a loser if I liked Taylor Swift. So then I got way more bothered by that than I should've and went on this official big musical soul search with the help of my hipster best friend (no, seriously, this girl was a hipster before hipsters were a thing), which with much luck (and a confusing encounter with Florence Welch) finally brought me to the beginning of being an Adele fan in March 2011—I didn't connect that she was the Ugly Betty chick for a while, and became more and more stan-y over the year. I didn't talk to DDs online until 2012, though, I still thought everyone online was a creeper back then

I'm sorry, but this is horrendous.... It's too different from Adele's version. Her vocals don't do this song any justice. It's a huge honor for one of Adele's songs, especially one that's only four years old, to be featured on an album of "classics" by someone as legendary as Aretha Franklin, but regardless, this reason is horrible. Only Adele can sing this song and nail it. This song remains untouchable.
