I'm happy for 2016 to be SM's year of all EDM releases. It's fun hearing everyone get to try at the genre. But next year they better diversify or pick a whole new sound if they want to keep everyone the same so we can actually have some consistency.

On 3rd isten of WHY mini and it's kind of a lot to take in and I'm having second thoughts now that my hype has died down. I like most songs but it's really exhausting to listen to.

After listening to it a few times, Why as a whole is mediocre. Title is solid but the chorus doesn't do what it should and the production during is too disjointed. Starlight is good but like everyone mentioned, it feels more like a DEAN song and should've had more Taeyeon. Fashion is nice but it's a little boring, though I love her vocals at the end. Up and Down is kind of a mess, and Hands On Me is just completely uninteresting. Though I have to hand it to her, only Taeyeon, as much as I love her, could make a song called Hands On Me sound so...sleepy. Good Thing is great and my favorite from the mini. Night could've been so slick but it ends up just sounding under-produced and a little basic.

Overall it's a serious downgrade from I, but Why, Starlight, and Good Thing are all solid and enjoyable.

EDIT: also, Fashion and Hands On Me sound like rejects from Tiffany's mini.

Yeah as a whole I prefer I, where all the songs I could listen to on repeat (except Stress). U R and Gemini and even Farewell are absolutely flawless with her super crisp vocals. Why has Why, Starlight and Good Thing which I love. Hands On Me (the piano thing is cool) and Fashion are okay, and Up & Down is a hot mess. Night is abiT boring after an interesting intro part.

Why is super catchy and is a grower. Each listen I find new things in the production.

I'm glad they actually picked the better songs as the titles.
