Republicans are the pits and have been for over 50 years now. LBJ still has y'all shook since 1964. Trump wants to bring us back to a time where minorities were oppressed and we aren't ever going back. And yes if fighting for justice and equality is liberal and blind to bigotry on the right then I'm proud to say I am liberal.
I didn't know I should be okay with banning Muslims from this country when we have religious freedom

Firstly I'm not a Republican, and I would be voting Democrat if Sanders had won the nomination. But regardless, abortion was made legal in 1973 under the Nixon administration. The Supreme Court can rule in favor of bills such as gay marriage or abortion regardless of who's in office. Obama himself was not in favor of gay marriage until very shortly before it was passed. Obamacare is a disaster that's contributing to the destruction of the middle class, and insurers are rapidly pulling out - I wouldn't cite that as an achievement.
Civil rights was passed under LBJ yes, but it was passed due to Republicans voting unanimously in favor of it. LBJ is also responsible for the war on poverty and the welfare state, and said "I'll have N-words voting Democrat for the next 200 years".
Religious freedom doesn't apply to non-citizens, but nevertheless it isn't unconstitutional to place a temporary immigration mandate on a group that is a perceived threat to the United States, it's been done before in times of war.
Asserting that Trump wants to suppress minorities is ludicrous. He's spoken nothing but favorable things about
legal minorities and wants to improve the state of the working class - including blacks and hispanics.
