And Madonna said she will return back to movie industry, maybe a huge hollywood blockbuster would help her get back on track like Evita did and do a Ray Of Light 2.0 aka a timeless ballad song with Sam Smith aka Say Something/Just Give Me A Reason 2.0 that would give Madonna her #1 this decade and then a solo new age bop like Ray Of Light and then THE POWER OF GOODBYE!

I want her to do more spoken word stuff tbh. Like The Beast Within or If You Forget Me. Those are both really captivating and with the right production they could tie an album together and help it seem cohesive. Like do that and then get with a producer who hasn't made it big yet like she used to do and she could have a classic. I applaud her for her drive to stay on the single charts, but I think she needs to focus on making a great album and let the hits happen naturally next time.

She needs to focus on an specific theme for her next album. I feel like people don't use MDNA and Rebel Heart because these albums have different Madonna type of songs, ballads, dance songs, folk songs, and if you mix the best songs among the weak ones it makes difficult to the gp to appreciate them.

Hard Candy is the definition of UNDERRATED. It's one of her Top 5 albums easily.
The album cover, the singles, the album tracks, everything is great.
How people can ignore songs like She's Not Me, Beat Goes On, Dance 2night, Heartbeat and Incredible?

Sis I deleted "Incredible" a few years ago and forgot about it until one day I was listening on Spotify and came across that song. It's defs not worth a shout-out, but better than LAP album-tracks.

Of course it'll flop in the rate cause people have been trained to not like that album cause of negative campaigning and the fact that it's, for whatever reason, been made a joke. ARTPOP, Hard Candy, Britney Jean, Bionic etc. None of which are that bad, but all get lumped in the "haha her werst ablum!!" basket and then never considered properly ever again.

Anyone that's going to tell me "Candy Shop", "Miles Away" and "Devil Wouldn't Recognise You" aren't perfect is a voice I shan't trust.

I'm torn.

On one hand I'm so with you. Whatever it is, Hard Candy is committed to its sonic aesthetic and I can appreciate that. But ever since then, the albums have lacked center. Even if I like them as collections of songs, that's what they are to me: collections of songs, grab bags rather than the widescreen Points she once made.

On the other hand, she's earned the right more than anyone to use her new albums to try on different styles. She may just want to have all kinds of fun and wants us to share that fun with her. The result may be jarring at times, but still results in some thrilling moments

She would've had 70+ score if it wasn't for Bitch I'm Madonna, yet BIM is the only smash hit alongside Devil Pray! DP would literally SLAY radio charts, especially if she added "feat. Avicii" next to it! Another hit that got away

I don't consider it fair to always pull the "but Devil Wouldn't Recognize You is on Hard Candy" card to state the album is "good".
Let's not forget it was written four entire years before the tragedy happened during the Re-Invention tour and then dug out for Timbaland out of ha catalogue to have something save the lyrical content of the album. On top of that he turned it into M's Cry Me A River. It doesn't belong on the album. It's the Die Another Day of Hardly Sweet.
