The reception was mixed to positive, but then they usually don't rush to praise mainstream pop songs until they get super popular ( unless they're by Ariana Grande) so I'm sure if this smashes it'll still end up on their year-end.

I love the song! Carly had an incredible album with Kiss. It's a shame no one paid attention to it. Every song was so good. I loved the concept of the video too. My only problem was Tom Hanks didn't really try to lip synch even when there were simple, repetitive lyrics :/ I don't see why everyone complained about Justin Bieber either when I wouldn't even have noticed him if I didn't know he was in the video.
And you barely even see him.
