so what's so special 'bout Dalshabet, they did not even stand out
They're produced by one of the best producers in Korea, E-Tribe
All their mini slays (Supa Dupa Diva + Pink Rocket = LIFE !!!!!!!!! ), they have a very distinct sound, you have to be deaf not to notice they already have an established sound (Supa Dupa Diva + Pink Rocket + Bling Bling are really fresh, not innovative or anything, but at least they definitely are not rip offs of any other songs).
The fact that they're produced by E-Tribe only really helps build their own musical personality, unlike other groups who change producer every song.
YOU FEEL THIS ? YEAH ... DROP ET. Y'ALL CAN MOVE OUT THE WAY, BRAND NUUUUUU !

Sis they're one out of three maybe four of relevant rookies from 2011 obviously they stood out
But to answer what's so special. Their music is so unique and Dal Shabet And the way the use urban elements in their songs(Dal Shabet, Shakalaka, Fire It Up) I love. They even gave me a reggae influenced bop & if you notice all their dances are kinda sexy under the disguise of cute esp. Pink Rocket The best overall rookies of 2011 hands down
Err, it actually does. I can't @ y'all comparing Hello Venus, with a solid debut and great vocals, to Dal Shabet. I mean, I don't hate DS but Pink Rocket is actually one of the worst k-pop songs I've ever heard.

Too much preaching
They're also really sharp dancers, really in synch (that part in Hit U where they kinda do like this kamehameha is always so clean and perfect ).
I've never understood why everyone says Hit U is just Goodbye Baby 2.0. Besides the similar beat, (which a lot of songs use), there's nothing similar about them at all.
Does this mean we're gonna get to hear Boyfriend's tiny rapper say "You ****** better know?"

IMO the only similarity between Hit U and GBB is the meaning of the song and the beat (and GBB didn't create any of them at all), but I don't see any similarities in the melody either.
Can we clarify something here? We are not comparing Hello Venus, with 4 songs and 2 performances, to Dal Shabet. We are comparing DEBUT Hello Venus to DEBUT Dal Shabet.
Dalshabet's debut perfs were more energetic and less boring, and let's not even talk about how Dalshabet's first mini is MUCH better than HV's, even though HV's is quite good
Knocks both in English and Korean.
But seriously, it's not unusual for labels to buy the rights to an English song and translate them. See: Genie, Run Devil Run, etc.
I did watch Dal Shabet's debut stage, it was not good.

Hello Venus's first mini + performances >>>>>>
I agree with you on the performance bit, Hello Venus are a lot stronger than Dal*Shabet was...
... but Dal*Shabet's debut mini is better in my opinion.
Fast-paced Rap track
Insanely catchy title track
Quirky, upbeat Dance track <3
Head boppin' Reggae-style track
I'll admit, when Dal*Shabet's mini first came out, I was over it...
... but once I got into their unique style, I was in love. Their debut mini remains my top favorite to this day.

Except these songs were not commercialized, they were demos.
Oh and I just checked, Alice is the visual (she said so in an interview), this makes sense, thank god.
Nara is the lead dancer, and this makes sense too, she's definitely the best dancer of the group.
And you're right, Dal's debut stage is NOT good, it's FLAWLESS
