I'm kinda sad after I read the reviews of Katy's perform last night on iTunes Festival.
Because it reminds me that Gaga got few bad reviews from the show, and Katy got all the praise.
I don't know what happened to Gaga, why even critics start to against her? Even those who always praise her before.
I know BTW era messed up and make this era really tough, but I didn't expect it could be THIS hard.
Gaga changed the rule, and make the high standard for the industry and herself.
Is that the reason? Gave the world too much, now they are asking MORE.
More and more ppl trying to break her down this era.
Compare to Katy, Gaga seems like a debut singer fighting with a big popstar, and no one likes her.
Gaga girl, stay strong, you have all the potential to be a really legend.

OK. Here's the thing:
Take critics bashing Gaga as a compliment rather than an insult. The reason they do is not cause they think she's sh*t, but because they always have high expectations for her.
A lot of critics are expecting/hoping she'll make really challenging material, something that can be held up against David Bowie/The Beatles/MJ/etc etc. So when they heard the new material at the iTunes festival, all they thought was - 'great, more Top 40 music'. #iwasbeingsarcastic sort of thing.
While with Katy Perry, critics never expect anything groundbreaking from her, so they just 'enjoy' the performance. That's why the reviews are much higher for Perry - cause the expectations are lower.
