What we're saying is, Republicans generally win absentee (mail) voting, but Democrats overcome that once in-person early voting starts. Republicans do better on election day, though.
Thank you for the explanation. I was not aware there was in person early voting. I don't have any stats on that yet (because early voting for Florida hasn't started) but I'll be on the lookout
But I will continue to note that in 2012 Obama won the ballot request early voting by 3points (49-46) and ended up winning Florida by like 0.2 points overall. So Clinton is in a different position than Obama (on the basis that more republicans requested ballots than democrats) but it doesn't necessarily conclude he'll win Florida (or that he'll win early voting overall). Just something to keep in mind as we predict certain states
Nnn one of the Washington shooter's most recent tweets is him saying he'll vote Hillary. But more recent tweets might indicate he was just trolling and he hates democrats.
Apparently the Clinton campaign is all but giving up on Ohio and focusing on solidifying the blue wall.

The voter purge in Ohio that mostly affected Democrats was reversed, they'll vote either normally or through a provisional that must be counted. With Obama visiting the week of early voting and surely some visits from everyone else scheduled, I wouldn't fret too much yet.
To be honest it bothers me that states that twice gave their electoral votes to Obama will now vote for the person who dedicated years of his life to delegitimising his presidency to succeed him.

Considering Trump needs essentially every swing state to go his way, I can see why the Clinton campaign would give up on Ohio. Clinton has leeway. She can afford to lose Ohio. She can even afford to lose Florida too if she wants. Trump is essentially finished if he doesn't swing PA.
Flood PA with all her resources and energy. If she keeps PA, she's essentially President. She'd need to keep hold of either one of Colorado or Nevada. Trump might swing one of them (perhaps Nevada), but its unlikely he'll get both.
If she invests everything into Florida and PA - and securing Colorado, she's President. She doesn't even need Florida, just PA and Colorado would do. But Florida could be her back up if PA goes wrong.
No need for Ohio really. The fear could be that if she tries to win them all and divides her funds and effort, but comes out with nothing. Focusing on the few she needs and absolutely securing them sounds more pragmatic and sensible IMO.

Y'all literally took one Jake Tapper tweet and conceded that she's giving up Ohio. She's not scheduled to be there but her surrogates are. They aren't giving up Ohio. They should give up Iowa though.

Agreed, there's a reason neither campaign is doing much in Colorado despite some of these polls.
FL is an exception though...the large amount of non-college whites cancels out Hillary's advantage with minorities. That's when it will come down to turnout.
