All jokes aside, video footage (of importance) getting damaged in this day and age is highly unlikely. That ish should be backed up like fifty times and the unedited raw footage should be on more than one computer/device for retrieval. So I think it's a pile of BS tbh. A company like SM doesn't strike me as flighty when it comes to stuff like this. And plus they shoot indoors, in constructed sets, with mostly the same directors, so like... it's not as if there's much room for error when they have their method down pat
I also find it weird they only found a problem now, after a 40 second multi-scene teaser was created days ago
